Single-Family House, Wrocław

The long and narrow plot influenced the layout of the building and the need to separate a single-storey garage and kitchen from the main form.

The long and narrow plot influenced the layout of the building and the need to separate a single-storey garage and kitchen from the main form. This approach allowed the plot to be divided into a semi-private front and a separate garden section. The house we designed is characterized by simplicity, very bright interiors, and attention to elevation detail, visible in the junctions between the individual materials.

The terrace, set at the back of the plot and connected to the house by large sliding doors, blurs the boundary between the interior and exterior during the summer. The technical solutions adopted — ceramic blocks, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, a ground heat exchanger, and low-temperature underfloor heating — will ensure a very low energy demand index and low operating costs.
