Single-Family Home, Warsaw

This house, located in Warsaw’s Ursynów district, is special in several respects. First, the design was created in very close collaboration with the client, who defined their expectations precisely while leaving the formal details to us. Second, the whole building is meant to be as prefabricated as possible and delivered to the site as a ready-made element, and third, this is our first project in Warsaw.

Already at the concept stage, a prefabricated building system using three-layer reinforced-concrete precast elements was chosen, so that the raw form of the structure would be exposed and become a defining aesthetic feature of the building. Ultimately it should barely be noticeable, since our intent, shared with the client, is for the building to disappear into greenery in the near future. Although our scope was limited to the construction documentation, we’re counting on continued close cooperation with the client, the precast supplier, and the contractor.
