A completely different kind of venue — a multi-purpose roller rink that will ultimately be used by players of lacrosse, roller hockey, ball hockey, bike polo, and roller derby, built by the City of Wrocław as part of the winning project from the 2019 Wrocław Participatory Budget. The site was chosen by the project’s lead applicant within a complex managed by the Youth Sports Center in Wrocław.

To complement the facility, we designed an earth-formed grandstand shaped like a pyramid with a right-triangle base, inside which we hid storage boxes for each of the disciplines using the rink. The grandstand is built from ready-made prefabricated elements and finished with trapezoidal sheet metal. Besides the rink surface with boards and the grandstand, the project’s scope also included small architectural elements and paths that integrate the facility into the existing layout of the sports complex.
