The Community Center in Zapolice is a complete rebuild of a building on the site of the existing Municipal Sports and Culture Center.

The Community Center in Zapolice is a complete rebuild of a building on the site of the existing Municipal Sports and Culture Center. The form reflects the functional divisions within the building. The result is a single-story building made up of three volumes joined by an irregular hall. The space is designed for GOKIS and outside organizers to hold sports, cultural, and educational events, both inside the building and on the green areas around it. The entrance is set back from the street to create an entrance forecourt.

The forecourt, with greenery and seating, serves as a meeting place — an open public space for everyone. A library sits by the entrance zone inside the building, forming the entrance area together with the hall. Another wing holds two rooms for optional activities, a conference room, and a music room lit by an internal patio. The largest volume is a multi-purpose hall for 250 people, with supporting facilities, designed for performances and concerts, with a stage and retractable seating. The hall can also be used for sports and can be divided into two independently functioning spaces.
